Janneman Lee – Head Chef in the Awesome Kitchen – is known for creative cuisine, sophistication and attention to detail. He will carefully craft a signature menu that will not only have your guests speechless, but will also have them talking about the experience for years to come. The team have also received top catering honours and reviews from A-List clients and cooked for royalty and celebrities alike.
Janneman’s passion for food began at a very young age – food was his world. He started taking over his mom’s kitchen – always cooking up the tastiest bakes and unusual dishes. Unlike the average boy, Janneman spent time experimenting with Sunday lunch – presenting his family with an unconventional take on the boring old Sunday lunch (of which is still very delicious). He was always supported by the love of his family and fed off the enjoyment he saw on their faces – and at that point he realise that he wanted to please people and be an entertainer. After trying his hand at drama – Janneman soon gravitated to the hospitality industry – which had its own fair share of drama!
Finally with a sense of direction – Janneman completed a course in managing small luxury hotels, and again gravitated towards the kitchen – making sure every meal was completed tastefully and presented with flair. He spend many years in à la carte kitchens, working with international clients in hotels and game ranches. He has never looked back and continues to WOW clients with his gastronomic delights.

All meals are prepared by Executive Chef Janneman Lee – one of the Winelands most loved chefs – with his culinary creations reflect his commitment to exceptional quality. In a large saucepan, toast the coriander seeds and black peppercorns over moderate heat, shaking the pan, until they are fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the spices cool slightly. Add the water, palm sugar, fish sauce, garlic, 8 of the kaffir lime leaves and the 1/4 cup of salt to the saucepan.
